WHAT is SwimAmerica? SwimAmerica is a program of swim instruction for people of any age. At its core is a station methodology of teaching and learning – a series of specific skills goals that individuals need to master one after the other – to achieve swim competency and ensure safety in and around the water. The program is designed so that learners can move forward at their own pace.

Station 4 – Freestyle without Breathing 

Skills to be learned:

1. Freestyle w/out breathing 

2. Rollover 

3. Side-Glide-Kick 

4. Sculling 

5. Forward somersaults 

WATER SAFETY “If you fall in, go to the wall and if you can’t reach it, ROLLOVER!” 

1. Jump in, get to the surface, rollover, shout for HELP, then swim for the wall.
