Day 1: Today, we are greeted by our professional Bianco tour guide and driver and begin our journey to our nation’s capital, Washington, DC. An included lunch stop and periodic rest stops en route are made for comfort and convenience. We arrive in Arlington, Virginia where we check into the Embassy Suites Hotel, our home for the next four nights.

Day 2: A full breakfast buffet awaits us this morning before going back in time to Mount Vernon, the historic estate of our first President. The Mansion is now home to theaters and galleries which tell the detailed story of George Washington’s life. We will enjoy lunch at Mount Vernon before heading for Arlington National Cemetery. After stops at some of Washington’s Memorials, we will make our way to Arlington National Cemetery and step P continued on back back in time into our nation’s history and remember the American Patriots, both humble and well-known, whose final resting place is in the hills of Arlington. Gaze upon the tomb of the unknown solider which is guarded 24 hours a day, 365 days per year and visit John F. Kennedy’s grave. Dinner is included tonight at the Royal Restaurant.

Day 3: After another included breakfast, we continue to explore the history of Washington DC. Our first stop is the People’s House Museum - A White House Experience. Through technology you can tour the White House rooms and their artifacts. You can even participate in a State Dinner. Our next stop is the United States Capitol. Our guide will show us the highlights of this working government building and we can also explore many interactive exhibits. Dinner is included at the Elephant & Castle Restaurant before we tour Monuments and Memorials with a local guide. Stops will be made at the Lincoln, Korean, FDR, MLK and WWII Memorials and of course, we will see the The Washington Monument and the Vietnam Memorial.

Day 4: Enjoy breakfast, before we begin our day at Ford’s Theatre where we celebrate the legacy of President Abraham Lincoln with a self guided tour of the theater where Lincoln was shot and the Peterson House where he was taken directly after. This afternoon choose which of the 21 Smithsonian Museums you would like to explore. These include the Museum of Natural History and American History where you can view dinosaurs, First ladies gowns, and Dorothy’s ruby slippers. Our Evening will end with a sightseeing Dinner Cruise to gain a different perspective of DC.

Day 5: As we head home today, we hope you have enjoyed historic Washington, DC.
