    Strike Up Some Summer Fun at Bowling Camp! Roll into summer with our 6-Week Bowling Camp, led by the experienced Lake Shore High School bowling coaches! This engaging camp meets Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the summer (no camp June 29 - July 3, 2026) and is perfect for students at all skill levels. Whether your child is brand new to bowling or looking to sharpen their skills with hopes of joining the Lake Shore High School bowling team, this camp delivers hands-on instruction in a fun, supportive environment. Campers will learn proper form, technique, scoring, lane etiquette, and strategy—while building confidence, sportsmanship, and a love for the game. Our coaches focus on individualized instruction, helping beginners build a strong foundation and experienced bowlers refine their game and advance their skills. Who: Curious kids entering grades K-6. What: A confidence-boosting STEM summer camp where kids build creative inventions and lasting friendships. Led by qualified local educators, the camps offer new and exciting hands-on experiences. This year’s brand-new program will illuminate imaginations, inspire curiosity and help kids build essential STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) skills through collaboration and problem solving. Campers explore hands-on challenges and open-ended adventures designed to unlock creativity and help them shine their brightest! Where: Right here in Lake Shore Public Schools! Over 1,000 Camp Invention camp programs run nationwide. Here are is what to expect at Camp Invention:
  • Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid and Safe Home Alone (9 years +)

    Course Description: Course Description: Learn to be safe and responsible. Build confidence. Have a competitive edge over other babysitters. One-day class. Topics include first aid, when and how to call 911, CPR with manikin practice, choking, and more! Students will also learn how to be safe and responsible when home alone, including what to do if somebody comes to the door and the importance of not giving out personal information. Students who successfully complete the course requirements will receive a certificate of completion for Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid course by Live Safe Academy (valid for two years). To be certified students must participate in the entire course from beginning to end and successfully complete all skills, which requires full motor function of all four extremities. No refunds or credit with less than 24-hour notice. If you need a medical exception, email Live Safe Academy at info@LiveSafeAcademy.com before class. Bring a snack, pen and paper for notes is optional. No cell phone use during class except during break. Please note that students must arrive on time to be certified, so please arrive up to 10 minutes early. Parents, this class is for students who are independent and responsible enough to be responsible for the safety and well-being of younger children without adult supervision. Please check in your student at the beginning of class. Drop off and pick up is in the same room as class. This class sometimes ends late, approximately 10 minutes.

Each day brings a new fable and a project that shows just how far their creativity can go. Along the way, they’ll share stories, laugh together, and make new friends while creating projects they’ll be proud to bring home. Our instructors keep the energy high and the atmosphere encouraging, making sure kids stay engaged and excited to try new things. All supplies are included. Any boy or girl who has ever picked up a bat, a ball and dared to dream the dream will find these week-long camps about as close to Tigers baseball heaven as they can get to being their favorite Tigers players. Tigers Territory loves its baseball and softball. From tee-ball to travel ball, this is truly one of the nation's great hotbeds for these wonderful games. As a professional baseball organization, the Detroit Tigers have so much to share with the tens of thousands of players, parents and coaches who love baseball and softball as much as we do! Our promise is to create a world class Detroit Tigers Baseball Experience that will create lifelong memories for every boy and girl who joins us. Read on and see why this summer could be the best summer ever for your young player. Camp Includes Every camper will be given a full, MLB quality Detroit Tigers uniform (jersey, pants, hat and belt). If you are going to train like a major leaguer, might as well dress like one. V.I.P. trip to Comerica Park including a Q&A with a current player You will receive four tickets to one Tigers home game. You will be able to select a date from a list of approved dates. Location of game tickets to be determined, subject to availability. Keepsake graduation certificate commemorating your attendance at a Detroit Tigers Baseball Camp. Returning campers will receive a unique commemorative patch to proudly display on his/her new uniform. We reserve the right to cancel camp days for weather-related reasons and no refunds will be given. Every effort will be made to complete instruction. In our first four seasons we have not canceled a single camp day. COMPLIMENTARY TIGERS TICKETS Each camper will receive four tickets for a choice of one of several 2025 Tigers home games. These Camper Reunion Games provide a great chance to reunite with new friends from camp. You will be able to select a date from a list of approved dates.   • Fortnite Battle Royale Academy: Building & Strategy Camp (10 - 16 years)

    Course Description: Students will develop essential Fortnite skills through expert coaching in building mechanics, combat fundamentals, and game awareness. Campers will learn proper editing techniques, resource management, positioning, and strategic decision-making under the guidance of experienced, high-level coaches. Through creative mode drills, zone wars, and competitive matches, students will build a strong foundation in both mechanical skill and tactical gameplay, culminating in a final tournament. All students will be provided with a progress tracker that they can take home to improve.     Students will develop competitive gaming skills in two of Nintendo's most popular titles: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Mario Kart. The camp combines skill development with collaborative gameplay, culminating in a final championship tournament where students showcase their progress.     Join local Kidlit authors from A Pop of Indie for a week-long course on publishing children's books. Best suited for first to fifth grade students, this course will introduce kids to the world of writing picture books. The goal of this class will be to engage and enlighten students in the writing and illustration process. Throughout the week, they will learn the brainstorming, story drafting and editing processes, and the illustration and character development part of picture books. With author Q&A's and story time sessions during the week, students get to learn firsthand from published authors on how to create stories that have a lasting impression. At the very end of the class, we will celebrate their very own picture books!
